HT118A/E - How to change those multimeter Fuses!

I've had few emails as late from viewers asking if it's possible and HOW-TO replace the fuse on their shiny new HT118A/E.

Short Answer. Yes, it's possible and Easy too!

Here's a quick simple instruction guide on how to easily replace those fuses.

A) First you need to remove the rubber holster/boot from the multimeter. Yes, it's actually designed to be removed! If it's the first time, you'll probably find it very hard to remove. Patience is a virtue here and with a little effort (or a lot!) it can be done!

B) Once the holster is removed from the multimeter you'll need to grab a Philips screwdriver and remove the 4 Philips screws. There's one on each corner of the HT118E.

C) Then, remove the cover backing carefully and you can now replace the Fuses in your HT118E.

mA Fuse is a 6x30mm 250V/200mA (HT118E) and a 600mA (HT118A) Ceramic.

10 Amp Fuse is also 6x30mm 250V/10A Ceramic.

That's it ! Make sure to test that your replacement fuse is good before putting it into the multimeter!
